Loren recently competed in and won the coveted
title “BBC Radio 2’s Voice of Musical Theatre” against very steep
international competition! An avid surfer from Los Angeles, since
coming to this end of the pond Loren has also played such roles as
Gaston in Disney’s Beauty and the Beast, Enjolras in Les Miserables
(UK National Tour), Boone in Whistle Down The Wind, the title role
in Phantom Der Oper (German National Tour), created the title role
in the new musical Courtenay Eisenstein in Die Fledermaus for Rome
Festival Opera, and opposite Janie Dee in the European Premier of
Shostakovich’s Paradise Moscow for Opera North.
Before studying at the Royal College of Music
in London, he played such roles as Jesus in Godspell, Abe in Barnum,
The Prince/Wolf in Into The Woods, and the title role in Ralph and
His Amazing Wonder Llama, as well as shows such as Annie Get Your
Gun, Chess, Big River, The Boyfriend, Barnum (again), and too many
others to list here.
